Qualified Humanities Teacher – Secondary School – Oldham
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Long-term (potential for permanent)
Salary: £165 – £210 per day (Dependent on Experience)

GSL Education Manchester is working with a high-performing secondary school in Oldham to recruit a Qualified Humanities Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2025. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive Humanities department that values interdisciplinary learning and student engagement.
About the Role:
You\’ll teach a combination of Geography, History, and potentially Citizenship or Social Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4. You\’ll be responsible for planning creative and informative lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to a collaborative department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Humanities subjects (Geography, History, etc.) across KS3 and KS4
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Assess and support student academic progress
Promote critical thinking, enquiry, and global awareness
Participate in enrichment programmes and field trips
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching Humanities subjects in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Humanities
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible and reflective teaching approach
