About the Role: As PE Support, your role will be to assist teaching staff in the delivery of the PE curriculum and extracurricular sports programmes. You will work with pupils across various age groups, providing guidance, encouragement, and structure during physical activities to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Support the planning and delivery of PE lessons and sports activities.
  • Assist students in developing coordination, fitness, teamwork, and resilience.
  • Motivate pupils to actively participate in physical activities, both during and after school.
  • Monitor behaviour and provide tailored support where needed.
  • Help run school sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and PE events.
  • Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are followed consistently.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a sports, coaching, or educational capacity.
  • A background in physical education, coaching, or youth sports is highly desirable.
  • Confident communication and classroom presence.
  • A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting student engagement.
  • Ability to supervise and encourage students of varying physical abilities.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
