Salary Range: £110 – £175 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor looking to make a meaningful impact on students\’ academic journeys?

GSL Education are currently recruiting passionate Part-Time Tutors in all subject areas to support learners across secondary and further education settings in Newcastle. Whether your expertise is in Maths, English, Science, Humanities, or a specialist subject, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview:

As a Part-Time Tutor, you will deliver targeted academic support to individual students or small groups, helping to boost their understanding, performance, and confidence in key subject areas. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to tailor interventions that meet each learner’s needs and support positive progress.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Individual Learning: Help implement personalised learning plans.
  • Provide Targeted Support: Offer 1:1 and small group assistance tailored to student needs.
  • Monitor Progress: Track student development and adjust support as required.
  • Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with teachers, support teams, and parents/carers.
  • Create a Positive Environment: Help build a space where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
  • Engage Learners: Use a variety of strategies to maintain student interest and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Keep Accurate Records: Maintain documentation of student progress and share insights with staff.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree in your specialist subject or related field (essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and an ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience in an education setting (FE, Secondary preferred).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
