The selected Part‑time Supply Teacher will be responsible for delivering pre‑prepared lessons across various subjects, maintaining positive learning environments, and ensuring continuity in students' education during staff absences. We work with a wide range of secondary schools across the county, including academies, grammar schools and comprehensive schools, many of which are rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. These schools are committed to providing high‑quality education and supportive environments where both students and staff can thrive. The successful Part‑time Supply Teacher will have the opportunity to experience different school cultures and teaching environments while enjoying flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre‑prepared lessons effectively across various subjects and year groups
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding and classroom management
  • Provide brief feedback on lessons covered and student engagement
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching expectations

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools
  • Be adaptable and able to work in different school environments
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks
  • Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
