Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant – Early Years
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary Range: £90 – £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: ASAP, 8:30 am – 3:45 pm
Contract: Long-term, Full-time
Are you passionate about working with young children and creating a positive start to their educational journey? A warm and welcoming nursery in Tower Hamlets is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Responsibilities of the Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support to children in Early Years, fostering their development and learning.
- Assist with creating engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Support children with SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis using a child-centred approach.
- Work collaboratively with the nursery staff to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
- Help with personal care needs, including nappy changing, while ensuring children feel respected and comfortable.
- Observe and record children\’s progress, sharing insights with staff and parents to support their development.
Requirements of the Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience in a primary school or nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Early Years education and SEN support.
- Ability to build nurturing relationships with young children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
