GSL Education are seeking a caring, creative, and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join a warm and supportive early years setting in Derbyshire. This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who is passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow.
The Role of Nursery Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Foster children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports curiosity and independence.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues.
- Use creative resources and activities to support communication, early literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Work collaboratively with early years practitioners and support staff to ensure consistency and positive outcomes.
What You’ll Bring as a Nursery Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or equivalent early years qualification.
- Experience working with nursery-aged children in an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
