GSL Education Newcastle Branch are currently looking for a caring Nursery Practitioner to work with a nursery setting in Hartlepool. This is an opportunity to support children's learning and development through play, daily routines and positive interactions.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Support children with play-based learning activities.
- Encourage communication, social skills and independence.
- Help children participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Build positive relationships with children and support their individual needs.
- Assist with daily routines and transitions.
- Observe children's development and share relevant information with staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment.
Requirements for the Nursery Practitioner role:
- Previous experience working with children in an Early Years or childcare setting is desirable.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) would be beneficial.
- Experience as a Nursery Practitioner or similar role is desirable.
- Patient, caring and attentive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an Early Years team.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
