GSL Education London Branch is excited to be recruiting a Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early years education and making a positive difference in young children’s lives. As a Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Early Years team to support children’s learning and development, provide 1:1 SEN support, and help create a safe, happy, and stimulating environment. This long-term position offers stability, progression, and the chance to grow within a successful academy trust. Responsibilities
- Support children in the Early Years classroom as a Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging EYFS activities
- Provide 1:1 SEN support when needed
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and staff to follow school policies
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Communicate clearly with staff, children, and parents
Requirements
- EYFS knowledge and experience
- Recent experience as a Nursery Nurse or Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant
- Ability to deliver 1:1 SEN support
- Able to follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Confident working as part of a team
- Good spoken and written English
