GSL Education are offering an exciting position for a SEN Teacher to work within schools within Nottingham (NG10), supporting pupils with additional learning needs through structured, nurturing, and well-adapted teaching approaches. As a SEN Teacher, you will deliver personalised learning strategies, adapt resources to meet individual needs, and help students develop confidence, independence, and key life skills within a safe and encouraging setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), ensuring inclusive classroom practice.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies to support development.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals.
Requirements of SEN Teachers:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant SEN teaching qualification.
- Proven experience or strong interest in working as a SEN Teacher.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and SEND frameworks.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
