Job Title: Alternative Provision (AP) Teacher

Pay rate: £150–£230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are offering an opportunity for an Alternative Provision Teacher to work across specialist settings in Nottingham , within the NG11 area, delivering tailored learning that meets the academic and emotional needs of pupils with varied backgrounds.

As an Alternative Provision (AP) Teacher , you will plan and deliver flexible lessons that engage learners who may have faced barriers to education, using creative strategies to rebuild confidence and re-engage them with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalised lessons suited to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.
• Adapt teaching methods to promote engagement and positive outcomes.
• Build trusting relationships that encourage consistency and progress.
• Work collaboratively with staff to maintain clear routines and expectations.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience or a strong interest in working as an Alternative Provision Teacher .
• Confidence managing behaviour in non-traditional learning environments.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
