GSL Education are currently recruiting a motivated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a supportive school in Middlesbrough. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring curiosity and achievement in Science. As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils’ understanding and progress across the Science curriculum. The school is keen to appoint a Science Teacher who brings enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge, and a positive classroom presence.

The Role of the Science Teacher Will Include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as required.
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider school staff.
  • Providing a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care.

The Ideal Science Teacher Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have experience teaching Science within a school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
  • Have a fully checkable work history.
