About the Role
GSL Education is seeking reliable and responsible Exam Invigilators to support our partnership schools during internal and external examination periods. This role is essential in ensuring examinations are conducted in a calm, fair, and secure environment for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing examination rooms in accordance with exam board regulations
- Supervising pupils during examinations to ensure all rules are followed
- Distributing and collecting examination papers and materials
- Providing clear instructions to pupils before and during exams
- Responding appropriately to pupil queries in line with exam guidance
- Reporting any irregularities or concerns to the Exams Officer
- Supporting pupils with access arrangements where required, in line with guidance
Person Specification
- Calm, professional, and approachable manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a school environment
- Experience as an exam invigilator
- Experience of working as a scribe or supporting exam access arrangements
