Are you a passionate and dynamic MFL Teacher with the ability to inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural awareness? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join schools in the Sheffield area. This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, promote a love for languages, and support pupils in achieving fluency and confidence in their chosen language(s).
Responsibilities as an MFL Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in one or more modern foreign languages.
- Encourage pupils to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, respect, and cultural understanding.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and work towards raising attainment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop creative resources and teaching strategies.
- Uphold high standards of classroom management, behaviour, and safeguarding.
Requirements for MFL Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one modern foreign language (e.g. French, Spanish, German) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
- A passion for inspiring young people to learn and appreciate languages.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
