GSL Education London Branch are excited to be looking for an experienced Media Studies Teacher to join a boys’ secondary school and sixth form in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Media Studies Teacher who enjoys inspiring young people and bringing creative media lessons to life. If you are a confident Media Studies Teacher who can engage students across KS3 - KS5, this role could be perfect for you.

As a Media Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons, support students’ academic progress, and contribute positively to the wider school community. The school is welcoming, supportive, and values high-quality teaching. This role would suit a dedicated Media Studies Teacher who is ready to make a real impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons as a Media Studies Teacher in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach Media Studies at KS3 - KS5, preparing students for exams and coursework
  • Assess, mark, and track student progress, giving clear feedback
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with colleagues and support the wider department
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and independent learning
Requirements:
  • Qualified Media Studies Teacher status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence in teaching Media Studies
  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school or sixth form
  • Good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • A positive, flexible, and professional attitude
