Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in the classroom? GSL Education are seeking a confident and committed SEN TA to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in schools across Margate.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support students with a range of additional needs. This role requires someone with proven SEN experience who can adapt quickly, follow established routines, and provide consistent support from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Assist with the delivery of lessons in line with the curriculum and individual education plans
- Manage behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom setting
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support role
- Ability to hit the ground running and adapt quickly to new school environments
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, reliable, and proactive approach
- A genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply with GSL Education
