Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions throughout the day
- Guide pupils with sensory regulation, speech support, and emotional well-being
- Implement therapeutic, low-arousal strategies to encourage positive behaviour
- Work Alongside the lead teacher to preserve a welcoming, productive setting
- Promote self-sufficiency, social interaction, and functional life skills
- Implement individual education plans and EHCP guidance accurately
Requirements:
- Prior experience supporting children with additional needs (educational or care environments)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic personality
- Outstanding communication skills and a strong collaborative mindset
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and behaviour management strategies
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to process one)
