Are you a graduate looking to build a career in education, psychology, mental health, or youth justice? GSL Education are recruiting Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across SEMH schools, alternative provisions, and specialist settings in North London, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, behavioural challenges, trauma backgrounds, and additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with pupils who require structure, consistency, and strong adult relationships.

The Role

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Help manage challenging behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support students with engagement, routine, and boundaries
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, behaviour leads, and SENCOs
  • Implement behaviour plans and contribute to a positive, structured environment
  • Act as a positive role model for pupils who may struggle in mainstream education

Previous experience in youth work, mentoring, care, coaching, or support roles is highly desirable but not essential.
