About the role:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers to deliver outstanding support, helping pupils develop academically and socially. You will assist in creating a positive learning environment and deliver targeted interventions to ensure every child feels included and supported.

Key Responsibilities of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Level 3 TA):

  • Provide classroom support in line with the primary curriculum
  • Support pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
  • Deliver tailored learning interventions under the teacher’s guidance
  • Help manage pupil behaviour and encourage engagement
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Support pupils with varying needs, including EAL and low-level SEN
  • Contribute to planning and the preparation of learning resources
  • Provide feedback on student progress to teaching staff
  • Assist with break and lunchtime duties as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a UK primary school setting as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A nurturing, patient, and adaptable attitude
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and child development
  • Have an updated CV and a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
