GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in secondary schools across North Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners while developing your skills in a rewarding and supportive environment.
Role Overview:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Support students with communication, social, emotional, and physical needs.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans (ILPs).
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school SEN setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
