GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join supportive and inclusive schools in Nottingham from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in helping Key Stage 2 pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Overview:
As a KS2 TA, you will work alongside class teachers to provide tailored support to pupils across Years 3 to 6. You will assist with the delivery of lessons, promote pupil engagement, and help maintain a positive learning environment where all children can succeed.
Responsibilities as a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
- Support teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce lesson content.
- Provide classroom support during English, Maths, and foundation subjects.
- Help manage classroom behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
- Prepare resources and assist with displays and classroom organisation.
- Offer pastoral support and encourage pupils’ social and emotional well-being.
Requirements for the KS2 Teaching Assistant role:
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (KS2 preferred).
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Confidence supporting learning across the KS2 curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
