GSL Education Hull are seeking an experienced and committed SENCo to join a specialist SEND Vocational School supporting learners aged 14–19 in an education environment. This permanent role is ideal for a SEN professional passionate about inclusion, progression, and positive outcomes for young people with additional needs.

About the Role

You will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the setting, ensuring learners receive high-quality, tailored support that meets statutory requirements and supports engagement, achievement, and employability.

Key Responsibilities as a SENCo

  • Lead SEND provision for learners aged 14–19
  • Manage EHCPs, reviews, and SEND documentation
  • Identify needs and implement effective interventions
  • Support staff with inclusive and trauma-informed practice
  • Liaise with parents/carers, local authorities, and external agencies
  • Monitor learner progress and outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

  • SENCo qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience in AP, SEND, SEMH, or vocational settings
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (0–25)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
