Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5 & S9)
Pay Rate: Up to £1100 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher looking to inspire pupils and bring the past to life in the S5 & S9 areas of Sheffield?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated History Teachers to work in schools across Sheffield (S5 & S9) . This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, develop pupils’ historical understanding, and support their academic progress.

As a History Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and source analysis.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Requirements for the role:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience teaching History at school level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
