Location: Scunthorpe
Pay Rate: £98.94 – £114.84 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a skilled HLTA to join primary schools in Scunthorpe. This role is perfect for someone who can deliver lessons, support teachers, and contribute to raising pupil achievement across the school.
Role Overview:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will take on a key role in supporting teaching and learning. This includes covering classes during teacher absence, delivering planned lessons, and providing targeted support to individuals or small groups. You will help to create an engaging learning environment, encourage pupil progress, and foster a positive attitude to learning.
Responsibilities as an HLTA:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the teacher’s absence.
- Support pupils in their learning through small group and one-to-one interventions.
- Assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning experience.
- Support the teacher in tracking pupil progress and providing feedback.
- Work closely with teaching staff to adapt resources and strategies for pupil needs.
Requirements for HLTA:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering lessons and supporting learning in a UK school.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire pupils.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
