Science Technician in Grays

Salary: £93 - £120 per day

Contract Type: 4 days a week

Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting science education? We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join a successful secondary school supporting sites across Grays and Southend. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the smooth running of the Science Department and help create engaging practical learning experiences for students.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment and materials for Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
• Ensure laboratories are maintained to a high standard and comply with health and safety regulations
• Manage and monitor stock levels, ordering equipment and resources when required
• Support teaching staff with practical demonstrations and classroom activities
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, chemicals, and departmental resources

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a laboratory, science, or educational environment is desirable
• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to supporting high-quality teaching and learning
