Salary: £14.50 - £17 per hour

Contract Type: Part time 3 hours per day

We are seeking a dedicated Midday Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the heart of Grays. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students during lunchtime, helping to ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during lunch and break times, both indoors and outdoors
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage respectful interactions between students
• Support students with any concerns or issues that arise during lunchtime
• Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly school environment
• Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support student wellbeing

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
• A proactive and supportive approach to behaviour management
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
