Are you creative, organised, and passionate about supporting young people in the arts? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Technician to join a thriving secondary school in the heart of Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Art Department by ensuring lessons are well-resourced, safe, and engaging for students.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and resources for Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Maintain and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as required
• Support teachers and students during practical lessons and creative projects
• Ensure the art studios, equipment, and materials are maintained to a high standard
• Promote and adhere to health and safety procedures within the department

Requirements

• Previous experience working within an educational, creative, or technical environment is desirable
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of a range of art materials, techniques, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to supporting students and the wider school community
