GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a supportive school setting in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting young people with behavioural needs, SEMH, and SEND.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Working with students with a range of SEND, including behavioural challenges
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working with behavioural needs (SEMH & SEND)
- Be confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Be patient, resilient and consistent in their approach
- Be available full-time (Monday to Friday)
- Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
