GSL Education is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to provide maternity cover at a secondary school in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for a Geography specialist who enjoys delivering engaging lessons and supporting students’ academic progress.
The role will involve teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience. You will be joining a supportive department and a welcoming school environment.
Role Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback
- Maintain effective classroom behaviour and positive learning environments
- Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider staff team
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities during the maternity cover period
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism in Geography
- Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A positive, flexible, and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
