Role: Geography Teacher

Location: Slough

Start Date: September 2024

Salary: £120 – £220 per day (In line with Pay scale and experience)

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated Geography Teacher  to join our client schools in Slough from September 2025. If you’re ready to embark on this rewarding journey, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Geography Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Encouraging students to explore physical and human geography topics, including environmental issues, global development, and spatial awareness.

  • Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports critical thinking and a passion for the world around us.

  • Assessing student progress through classwork, projects, and assessments while providing constructive feedback to support development.

  • Collaborating with colleagues to enrich the Geography curriculum and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

  • Organizing field trips and geographical investigations to enhance real-world learning experiences.

Qualifications and Attributes as a Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Geography or a closely related subject.

  • Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.

  • Passion for Geography and the ability to inspire curiosity about the world, cultures, and environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff.

  • Effective classroom management skills that promote active learning and engagement.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about current geographical issues and teaching practices.
