Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are collaborating with schools across Barnsley , covering the S70 and S71 areas, to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher who can bring the subject to life.

As a Geography Teacher , you will guide learners in developing map skills, understanding physical and human geography, and analysing global issues, while maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons that inspire curiosity.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Encourage discussion and enquiry about environmental and social issues.
  • Maintain effective behaviour management and classroom routines.
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience as a Geography Teacher .
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive learning and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
