GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a welcoming school community in Dinnington. This role offers the chance to engage students with the physical and human processes shaping the world, while encouraging critical thinking and global awareness. It’s the ideal role for a committed Geography Teacher who enjoys guiding learners through the fascinating complexities of geography.
Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:
- Deliver well-planned, engaging lessons that follow the national curriculum and exam board requirements.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and the use of maps, data, and fieldwork to explore geographical issues.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and curiosity.
- Support school-wide events and enrichment activities related to Geography and the wider Humanities department.
Requirements for Geography Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Previous experience teaching Geography at school is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years, with all employment gaps explained.
