GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full‑time English Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Fareham.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students and develop their confidence, literacy and love of English.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
• Support students in reaching their academic and personal potential.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is keen to hear from English Teachers who:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
• Have a strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
• Can plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater for a range of abilities.
• Have high expectations of students and strong classroom management skills.
• Are committed, reliable and passionate about making a positive difference.
• Are looking for a long‑term opportunity within a supportive school environment.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with strong teaching placements are also encouraged to apply.
