EYFS Teacher - Tameside
Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) / M1-M6 pay scale, Β£140 per day minimum (supply)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP
We are recruiting an EYFS Teacher for a primary school in Tameside, with an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, reflective practitioner who understands how young children learn and can help them build strong foundations across the prime areas of learning.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver learning across the EYFS curriculum, including the prime and specific areas of learning
- Deliver high-quality continuous provision, indoors and outdoors, supporting the Characteristics of Effective Learning
- Support communication and language, and personal, social and emotional development (PSED) throughout the school day
- Deliver phonics and early reading, and support early writing in line with the current Writing Framework
- Assess and record pupil progress against EYFS Development Matters and the Early Learning Goals
- Support pupils' transition into Year 1
- Liaise closely with parents/carers and the wider EYFS team
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Experience teaching within EYFS/Reception
- Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, continuous provision and child development
- Confident delivering phonics and early reading
- Warm, patient and reflective approach with young children
A fully enhanced DBS and two professional references covering the last two years are required.
