GSL Education are urgently looking for responsible and alert Exam Invigilators to support schools in Long Sutton during the busy exam season. This is a flexible, part-time job that’s perfect for people who are calm, detail-oriented, and dependable.
About the Role:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will help make sure that exams run smoothly and fairly. You’ll work with a team to set up exam rooms, supervise students, and follow all the rules set by the school. Your presence will help students feel calm and focused on their exams.
Your Main Responsibilities as an Exam Invigilator:
- Set up exam rooms following school and exam board guidelines.
- Hand out and collect exam papers and materials safely and on time.
- Watch over students during exams to ensure everything is quiet and fair.
- Report any cheating or unusual behaviour.
- Help students if they have questions (without giving answers).
- Stay calm and professional if any issues arise.
- Keep all exam information private and secure.
- Work closely with the Exams Officer and school staff to ensure everything goes smoothly.
What We’re Looking for in an Exam Invigilator:
- Experience in invigilating, education, or any supervisory role is helpful.
- You must be reliable, on time, and professional.
- Good observation skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly and clear communication skills.
- A calm and confident attitude.
- Flexible availability during school hours, especially during exam times.
- A full and updated CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
