GSL Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Autism Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Epsom. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and is looking to build a long-term career within a specialist education setting.
The successful candidate will be supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to access learning, develop their communication and social skills, and achieve their individual goals. You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience working with children or young people with ASD/Autism.
Be comfortable and confident working within a special needs school.
Have a patient, caring and understanding approach.
Be confident supporting students with a range of additional needs and abilities.
Be able to build strong, positive relationships with students.
Be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to working full-time.
Be available to start ASAP.
Be interested in a temp-to-perm position and the opportunity to secure a permanent role.
