Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds and fostering a love for literature and language? GSL Education are currently seeking a qualified English Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Sheffield. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to make a meaningful impact through creative and engaging English lessons.
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills through literature and language study.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and share best practices.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, respect, and motivation among students.
Requirements for English Teacher:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is mandatory.
- Experience teaching English at UK school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
