Our partner school in Enfield is looking for a passionate, caring and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain meaningful experience within a school environment, develop their understanding of child development and behaviour, and work alongside experienced SEN and pastoral professionals.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils who may require additional emotional, behavioural and academic support, helping them develop confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
SEMH Teaching Assistant - Job Details:
- SEMH Teaching Assistant role available on a full-time basis
- £380-£450 per week PAYE
- Enfield-based secondary/specialist school
- Psychology Graduates, particularly those with a BPS-accredited degree, are encouraged to apply
- Work alongside experienced SEN professionals, teachers and pastoral staff
- Support pupils with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges and additional learning needs
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils engage positively with education
- Develop valuable experience relevant to a future career in Educational or Clinical Psychology
- Opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting young people with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs
The role would suit a motivated SEMH Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils, develop practical behaviour-support strategies and gain an insight into the wider SEN and pastoral support network within a school.
