Salary: £90–£105 per day – depending on experience

At GSL Education, we are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and child-centred Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant and supportive school in Enfield. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, helping to create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment. As an Autism Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • One-to-One Support: Deliver tailored one-to-one support to students with ASD, focusing on their individual learning and behavioural needs.
  • Child-Centred Learning: Implement a child-centred approach to encourage engagement, confidence, and development.
  • Communication & Social Skills: Support students in developing communication, social interaction, and independence skills.
  • Collaboration with Teachers: Work closely with teaching staff to adapt and deliver personalised lesson plans.
  • Behaviour & Emotional Support: Demonstrate resilience and initiative when supporting students in challenging situations.

The successful Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) will have:

  • Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of child-centred educational practices.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and promote a supportive learning environment.
  • Proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach within a dynamic school setting.
