In this role, you’ll have the chance to teach in a variety of classroom settings, learn from experienced educators, and work with students across different age groups and abilities. Responsibilities of an Early Career Teacher (ECT):
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel motivated and supported.
- Differentiate instruction to cater to pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, giving constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff and contribute to the school’s wider goals.
Requirements for Early Career Teacher (ECT):
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Subject specialism in any area of the curriculum (core or foundation subjects).
- A reflective, proactive, and professional approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
