What are we looking for?

• Experience teaching Maths to GCSE level.

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH and complex needs.

• The ability to build positive, trusting professional relationships with young people who may have experienced significant challenges in previous education settings.

• Creativity, compassion, resilience and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Strong skills in planning engaging learning activities that follow the National Curriculum while developing social communication skills.

• The confidence to respond calmly to challenging behaviour and support pupils experiencing high levels of anxiety.

• The ability to promote positive behaviour, guide colleagues, and adapt strategies as pupils' needs change.

• Excellent communication with colleagues and families, alongside the initiative to respond to each young person's individual needs.

The ideal candidate will be more than a Maths teacher. They'll be someone who understands the power of patience, consistency and personalised learning in helping young people rebuild confidence and achieve success.
