About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes when teachers are absent, ensuring students stay on task and engaged with their learning. You will play a vital role in maintaining classroom standards and supporting the smooth running of school life.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes following lesson plans provided by teachers.
  • Ensure students remain engaged, on task, and behave appropriately.
  • Maintain high classroom standards in the absence of teaching staff.
  • Record and report on student behaviour, engagement, and any incidents.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN coordinators, and other school staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in schools or classroom supervision preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain focus in the classroom.
  • Professional, reliable, and confident approach.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working with groups of students.
