Our Hull office is looking for aspiring teachers to work as Cover Supervisors in local Secondary Schools. This is a great way to gain paid hands-on experience before going on to complete your teacher training.
As a Cover Supervisor you will:
- Manage classroom behaviour of up to 30 pupils, ensuring students stay on task.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas, including English, Maths, Science and Humanities.
- Respond to any questions or queries students may have.
- Follow individual School behaviour and safeguarding policies.
The ideal Cover Supervisor will:
- Have an Education-based or Core Subject-based Degree.
- Aspire to have a career in Education, in roles such as a Pastoral Manager or Teacher.
- Be able to quickly engage and build rapport with pupils.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Hold a Child Only Workforce DBS that is registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
