At GSL Education, we are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join one of our fantastic client Primary Schools in Buckhurst Hill. The school is looking for someone who can start immediately and has experience working with individual pupils and small groups. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting young learners at a crucial stage of their education.
Key Responsibilities:- Classroom Support: Work closely with the Year 6 class teacher to motivate and encourage pupils to reach their full potential.
- SEN Support: Provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Small Group Intervention: Deliver individual and small group support to ensure effective learning takes place.
- Student Confidence: Help pupils develop confidence and self-esteem through encouragement and tailored strategies.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- A basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning strategies.
- The ability to boost pupils’ confidence through positive listening and support techniques.
