Pay Scale: £95 – £105 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently working in partnership with a well-resourced nursery in Buckhurst Hill that requires an experienced Nursery Nurse to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and wants to make a real difference in the lives of young children. Key Responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse:

  • Childcare & Supervision: Providing attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, welfare, and emotional well-being throughout the day.
  • Learning & Development Support: Assisting with age-appropriate activities, facilitating play-based learning, and supporting children’s physical, social, and cognitive development.
  • Daily Routines & Activities: Supporting daily routines such as mealtimes, naptimes, and outdoor activities, helping to create a structured yet nurturing environment.
  • Behaviour & Positive Guidance: Encouraging positive behaviour, supporting social skills, and implementing appropriate guidance strategies.
  • Communication & Reporting: Building strong relationships with parents and carers, providing updates on children’s progress, and working closely with the nursery team to ensure continuity of care.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in a nursery, childcare setting, or early years environment
  • A passion for early years education and child development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, reliability, and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
