GSL Education Hull are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to work within a welcoming early years Day Nursery setting in Brough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children at the start of their learning journey.
The Role: As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children aged 0–5 years, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play. You will work closely with teachers and senior practitioners to deliver high-quality EYFS provision tailored to each child’s individual needs.
Key Responsibilities as an Early Years Practitioner:
- Support the delivery of the EYFS framework and Development Matters
- Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and communication development
- Observe, assess, and contribute to learning records (e.g. Tapestry)
- Support children with additional needs, including SEN and EAL
- Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety procedures at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognised Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
