GSL Education are seeking dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to work within supportive primary and secondary school settings across Middlesbrough. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people manage behaviour, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to pupils.
- Support students with emotional, behavioural, and social needs.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive conduct.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support behaviour plans.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or additional needs.
- Relevant qualifications such as Team Teach, NVQ Level 2/3, or similar (desirable).

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
