SEN Teaching Assistant - Beeston, Nottingham

Location: Beeston, Nottingham (NG9)

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: Β£100 - Β£125 Per day

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic SENTeaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity?

We are recruiting for multiple primary schools in Beeston, Nottingham and aroundseeking passionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils across the school and help create a positive learning environment. Applicants interested for short-term support worker roles are also welcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Special Needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, AHD and other complex needs. on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
  • Support children with additional learning needs where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in a SEN setting
  • Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH or Complex Needs in desirable
  • A patient, positive, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Support learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to meet individual needs.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
