GSL Education are currently working in partnership with a well-resourced school in Barnet that requires a Teaching Assistant to join their team. Here are some key responsibilities you would typically have as a Teaching Assistant:

• Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and facilitating small group activities.
• Individualised Learning: Work closely with students who require additional support, adapting teaching materials and providing targeted interventions to ensure all students reach their full potential.
• Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respectful behaviour, and implementing behaviour management strategies.
• Assessments and Progress Monitoring: Support teachers in assessing student progress, providing feedback, and recording student data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
• Extra-Curricular Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community by assisting in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports events, and school trips, fostering student engagement and personal development.

The successful candidate for Teaching Assistant will have:

• A degree in any subject area showcasing your commitment to academic excellence. Holding a degree at 2:2 or higher is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• An enthusiastic and proactive approach, demonstrating your passion for education and your willingness to go above and beyond to support student learning.
• Flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working across various subjects and supporting different teaching styles.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.
• Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
