GSL Education are excited to invite applications for an Art Teacher to join schools across Sheffield , including the S2 and S3 areas. In this role, you’ll deliver inspiring lessons that spark imagination and build confidence in the classroom.

As an Art Teacher , you will encourage pupils to explore a range of media and techniques while developing their creativity, observational skills, and personal style in a supportive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The Art Teacher will plan and deliver creative lessons that are accessible and engaging.
  • Support pupils in developing practical skills across drawing, painting, and mixed media.
  • Encourage self-expression and creative thinking through structured activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive, well-organised classroom that supports focused learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an Art Teacher within a UK school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence managing creative lessons.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
