As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide personalised, one-to-one support to a pupil with SEND, helping them engage with learning and school activities. Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies. Encourage independence, social skills, and positive behaviour in the classroom and throughout the school day.

Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the pupil s individual needs. Monitor progress, provide feedback, and contribute to reports on pupil development. Create a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment tailored to the pupil s needs.

Requirements for 1:1 SEND TA: Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learning and behaviour. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
